You'd think for someone that has a degree in fashion, I'd do a better job at sharing my love of fashion on the blog. It is well past due, so I thought it would only be appropriate to share my favorite "Fall Fashion Trends" of the year for my first ever #FiveForFriday!
I love everything about fall. The weather, the decor, the food, the holidays...and of course, the fashion. So here are 5 Must Have pieces for this season!
SCARF
I think it would be pretty fair to say that scarves are currently one of my obsessions. I want them in all color combos and patterns. A scarf is such a simple and cheap way to give an otherwise, dull and drab outfit a little pizzazz.
FELT FLOPPY HAT
Just like with a scarf, hats are a great way to bring color into an outfit and pull everything together. And plus it's a great way to cover put the mess your hair on top of your head.
OVERSIZED CARDIGAN
Whether you wear it dressed down with a destressed skinny jean, t-shirt, and tennis shoes or dress it up with a dress and boots, oversized cardigans are BIG [pun intended] this fall! Anything that feels like a bathrobe that can be worn in public and considered fashionable is totally a #wynn in my book!
FLARE JEANS
Just when I was about to give away my flare jeans from my "70s Hippie Girl" Halloween costume last year, this happens. Push the skinnies to the side and give these bad boys a ride for the fall. I love them paired with an oversized sweater and clogs.
OVER-THE-KNEE BOOTS
I'm not quite sure if we can consider this one a trend because it has been around for the past few years and isn't showing any signs of going anywhere any time soon. No complaints here, because I love a good over-the-knee boot. Stiletto, chunky heel, flat...leather, pleather, suede...black, brown, grey...so many combos and they all make my heart swoon.
